Spirit Channeling

As a spirit medium, Maya's able to call the spirit of a deceased person into her body, essentially channeling them. Her body shifts to match the body of the dead person – that is, several of her physical characteristics change to match theirs. Her physique changes to match the spirit she’s channeling, (this includes getting taller or shorter, though she's pretty tiny already) but her hair stays mostly the same.

She's unable to control her body during this time, and has no recollection of whatever goes on while the spirit is in her. The duration seems to depend on her spiritual power. However, as soon as the channeling ends – Maya is left feeling weak and faint.

What does this mean for you? It means, if your character dies and you want Maya to try channeling them (or even an NPC) or something, we could work something out. She's also open to possessions and whatnot.

★ IC Permissions ☆ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Her reactions will vary depending on who's doing it, but this has potential for hilarity so always go for it. ☆ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Completely fine! If it runs the risk of getting to severe injuries/maiming/torture, whatever, just talk to me, but it should be fine. I would rather not kill her at this point. ☆ RELATIONSHIPS: Why would you ever. But sure, if it develops ICly (unlikely as that may be) I don't have a problem with it. ☆ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Maya has no real shielding! Let me know if you're going to read her, though, because her outward demeanour doesn't always match her real feelings and there's usually a lot more going on with her than meets the eye. ☆ MAGICAL INFORMATION: As mentioned, Maya is a spirit medium! Which could ping others appropriately. On the other hand, Maya herself can be pinged by anything supernatural/ghost-y/spirit-y, so there's that. ☆ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Nothing notable! She's healthy. She's able to endure pretty harsh training conditions and being starved for several days. ☆ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Maya huffs and gets annoyed pretty easily and temporarily, but it's harder to actually offend her. Nothing really sets her off, but she has strong morals (ignoring things like theft and breaking and entering which is apparently A-OK)
