Other: Maya has beads in her hair and a magatama necklace! Often registers as 'weird looking' because of that and her acolyte uniform. Otherwise, her ears are pierced and she's got a topknot. She has wide, dark eyes, very long hair, and is generally smiling and friendly-looking.
Scar-wise, she's amassed quite a few from Kyriakos, though most are hidden by her clothing. Most notably: a slash across her throat and a stab wound directly above her heart. Fainter and nearly faded into her skin (from the neck-down) are patterns that suggest she was either bled out by something like an iron maiden or torn to pieces. Or both!
Side note, her starter skill is sensitivity to supernatural/spiritual stuff so she may get vague pings to supernatural beings or ghosts or whatever.

Eight… Nine… Ten, how old had she been? Maya had always been small. And she had looked smaller than ever, that day – looking up at her sister with glassy eyes.
"You’re leaving…"
They both knew this was coming – but somehow, Mia still felt her chest tighten.
"I have to, Maya," she responded gently, crouching and taking her little sister by the shoulders. "You know that. I have to find out what happened to Mother."
Mia felt her sister’s shoulders shake and saw the tears forming. Even though she said nothing, Mia knew what she was thinking.
Mother left me, and you’re leaving me too.
After Mother disappeared, Maya always waited by her room. Always, always waiting. When she was old enough to form the words, she’d ask when mother was coming home. Every day. Mia had no answer – no gentle way to break her sister’s heart. So she didn’t. "Not yet, Maya. She still has something to do." Waiting, always, always waiting.
When she was seven years old, Maya stopped asking. In a way, Mia thought that was worse.
Mother left me, and you’re leaving me too.

As a spirit medium, Maya's able to call the spirit of a deceased person into her body, essentially channeling them. Her body shifts to match the body of the dead person – that is, several of her physical characteristics change to match theirs. Her physique changes to match the spirit she’s channeling, (this includes getting taller or shorter, though she's pretty tiny already) but her hair stays mostly the same.
She's unable to control her body during this time, and has no recollection of whatever goes on while the spirit is in her. The duration seems to depend on her spiritual power. However, as soon as the channeling ends – Maya is left feeling weak and faint.
What does this mean for you? It means, if your character dies and you want Maya to try channeling them (or even an NPC) or something, we could work something out. She's also open to possessions and whatnot.
