[At some point, Maya's going to approach and tug Apollo aside. She's got Phoenix's locket visibly on the outside of her dress (as opposed to tucked in), Locke's bandana tying her hair up and Wolfwood's sunglasses on her head]

[Basically, she's even more of a fashion travesty than before]

That's right. That's really her main gig, but she has the title of CEO even though. . .it's just a dinky little agency. . .so yeah. Why?

And her dad.... he was the shady guy who you didn't trust at first, right? Who got fired from being a lawyer?

He was disbarred, yes.

Yeah, he got kicked out of bars and started drinking lots of grape juice, right?

[HE'LL KNOW SOON ENOUGH] And he was cryptic and mysterious and smelly?

--what, no! Disbarred means he lost his badge. In his case, he was falsely accused of forgery. Though, uh, he did start drinking that a lot, yes. It went along with his job as a pianist.

And. Er, yes to all of that too, though he's straightened up a bit recently.

Gkk--! Carry on what legacy? The legendary lawyer. . .! I've grown to respect him a lot now, but I was nothing but a pawn at first! I didn't even want to work with him. [huffs!!]

This has got to be the same girl! Don't you think?

[he stares it for a long while--the details are off but really, how many teenaged girls go around in magician get ups? after a while, he lets out a sigh, and closes it again]

. . .is this is why you scribbled over my notes?

You mean I fixed your notes!

I kind of suspected it, but. . .I didn't want that guy, your nick and my boss, one of the most amazing attorneys ever, to be the same person. I. . .actually idolized him for a while. That's why I was so mad when he cost me my job. But then I learned he really was a good guy. . .

And in my recent memories, he had earned his badge back. So I guess your faith in him was warranted.

. . .he has this same locket, too.

Accepting this mean's Trucy's second father is gone now. It's not a truth I wanted for her.

I bet she helped the other hostages escape, you know? She knows how to handle herself in these kinds of situations.

You think she's the one who busted them out? That wouldn't surprise me, if she has to handle both you and Nick....
