Summary This is a case! They're investigating! And that security lady is there to yell at them and call them tourists. Maya asks Phoenix if she'll grow up to be like Oldbag. Phoenix says maybe (rude)! Aside from that, there is some info-dumping on the case itself - the victim used to be a big star and caught an unlucky break, and apparently Oldbag was too. :E Maya herself also gets huffy when Oldbag accuses the defendant; and then Oldbag calls them both suspicious-looking, demanding a letter of request before they go further.

Since the game is in Phoenix's POV and it sort of goes back and forth I'm just going to link the most relevant stuff and give an overview.
Summary: She's in jail. She's in jail... for the murder of her sister! She's been questioned extensively, everyone seems to think she did it, (which really upsets her) her only visitor is the lawyer guy that keeps turning up in her memories. She goes over the day of the murder with him, and asks him to talk to a famous lawyer her sister told her to go to once because she has no else to ask but him. Then the lawyer guy comes back and.. turns out he's refused to help her! She gets emo and depressed about how she's been abandoned, then expositions to the lawyerguy about her family, (or lack thereof) how her mother disappeared after being called a fraud and her sister left several years after. And now she's dead. Awk.
Notes: Names are not blurred! But there are none in this memory except for "White"
What she learned:

BECAUSE THEY'RE THAT DESPERATE. The lawyer gets her to talk to the parrot. Apparently the parrot said something vital about the case before... but now won't do it. The mysterious super smarmy arrogant prosecutor is likely responsible for this. But they ask other questions (such as the safe combination), finally tying the caretaker to the case! Yay!!

In fact, she's seen such great hits as the Dynamite Samurai, Samurai Summer (which apparently involves a samurai on a horse with romance), Singing Samurai (about a samurai who sings his way to fame and fortune), Samurai Boogey-Woogey (your guess is as good as mine), and of course... The Steel Samurai. Which is a show meant for 10 year old boys but seems to have mainly teenage girls and men in their 20s/30s as fans. The plot's pretty predictable; The Steel Samurai is the protector of Neo Olde Tokyo and battles the Evil Magistrate and his minions.
As you can probably guess, Maya is a massive samurai fangirl. She doesn't know it yet, but the Steel Samurai (and previous incarnations) were her go-to for a pick-me-up when things were rough at home. She likes cheesy happy endings and good beating evil.

Again, basically what it says on the tin! Maya's mother writes and illustrates children's picture books, and some of that artistic inclination (and perhaps some talent) passed down to Maya as well. When stressed and in a hopeless situation (ie: getting taken hostage by an assassin and locked up and starved for multiple days), or sometimes when sending letters, Maya tends to doodle.
If you take this skill, you too will be able to doodle! Otherwise, Epona can probably expect to receive dumb little drawings of themselves doing ridiculous things and/or beating up Echos who run horrible games every so often. And/or riding wolves. (Sorry, Blade!)

Description: MAYA FEY: BURGERS FOR ALL.

Game notes: Baby's first trauma game. One person from every team was placed in an impenetrable glass tube and teams had to do 'tasks' to control the amount of water rising. Their hostage was Schooler; Coco and Eveningstar were the only two participants of their team. There was an option to send water to another team for one round; no one on the team did it. The tasks were brutal and involving getting mutilated or outright killed. With Coco scared and Schooler's life on the line, Eveningstar stepped up, which prompted Coco to as well. Eveningstar sew her own nose shut, Coco carved her own skin to make a pattern, Eveningstar had her tongue ripped out, and Coco drank poison - when Eveningstar protested and tried to stop her, she passed out. Coco died, but the team won.
...IT WAS PLEASANT. There was a lot of crying from all three girls; Coco started to hold her a lot and so they ended up hugging and crying together too. Afterwards, Schooler took them both home where the rest of the team took good care of them. Her perception of Kyriakos has begun to change.

It seems the frilly guy is now accused of murder and in big trouble... except that he won't let them help, no matter what they say. They go to the scene, where some detective guy they apparently know is really worked up about the case and the only one who believes in the frilly guy. She herself wasn't sure about the frilly guy... But seeing how the Detective guy is so determined to believe in him... The two of them aren't going to give up on him, either. Also, it's Christmas.

What she learned:
-Samurai case isn't the only case she and lawyer guy have done together. Apparently there's three. Is she a lawyer too or something? They seem to just be investigating everything themselves
